Your Healthy Pelvis: Intro to Pelvic Floor Strengthening for Women

IMC Associate provider, Cynthia Calmenson, has expanded her teaching to the Thrive Center for Birth & Family Wellness.

Come learn simple, effective ways to begin to strengthen your pelvic floor, recover from childbirth, and prevent bladder control problems as you age.

You’ll find out how to locate and use these deep muscles, and understand how they are integral for the rest of your body. These non-aerobic exercises can easily be added to your day to tone and strengthen your pelvic floor. This is important during pregnancy, as you prepare for labor, and especially after you’ve delivered for a more speedy recovery.

This class is taught in two 1.5 hour segments and includes handouts to take home. You will be lying on the floor as well as sitting in a chair during the class. Please wear loose comfortable clothing. Mothers with babies under 6 months are welcome!
